The British left dead, wounded and dying in their wake as they arrived in Concord about 8 a.m.
220 troops were ordered by commanders Francis Smith and John Pitcairn to secure the North Bridge
across the Concord River then continue on to Barrett Farm where it was believed a cache of arms
and powder was kept.
